Chelsi P. Henry is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Florida in Business Management with a minor in Mass Communication. To add to her undergraduate experience, Henry is currently a full-time law student pursuing a Juris Doctor degree with the focus in International and Property law from the Florida Coastal School of Law. Not only has she gained an insurmountable amount of knowledge in the classroom, but she has simultaneously gained valuable experience in the real world. From 2006 to 2010, Chelsi interned with the Convergys Corporation where she gained experience working cross functional roles in various departments ranging from Information Technology to Human Resources. Through her time with Convergys she was also a member of the Office of Global Inclusion and Diversity. This great opportunity has allowed her to utilize her knowledge as a corporate executive and community consultant coupled with her passion for water and soil conservation to create an impact as a role model in the community of Duval County.

In 2009, Chelsi spent six months touring nine different European countries researching European business strategies and policies as well as innovative management techniques. She brought back with her not only an incredible amount of information ready to put into practice, but also an unparalleled experience which will undoubtedly propel her forward as Supervisor of Soil and Water Conservation for District 5 where she will be able to petition and advocate on the behalf of her community.



Chelsi was actively involved at the University of North Florida from the time she enrolled. She served on several university-wide committees as an advocate for students rights. She served in Student Government for two years as a Senator. In the Fall of 2007, Chelsi served as the Elections, Selections and Appointments Chairwoman. In this role, she rewrote Title VI: The Election Code and led as Elections Supervisor with distinctions. Chelsi was also Chairwoman of the Entertainment committee in the African American Student Union Executive Cabinet.

Chelsi desires to use her talents and abilities to help her community reach its maximum potential. In the next ten years, Chelsi sees herself in public service fighting for the rights of her fellow citizens. With her ambition, determination and hard work, Chelsi is destined to be successful!

Chelsi has a heart of service and love. She aspires to continue serving through the avenues of business and politics. She believes that there must continue to be righteous voices in the governmental system.
